Based on plastic polymers, the most common single-ply membranes are PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin). They are flexible due to the inclusion of plasticizers.
Other options for a single-ply system include fire barriers (which help reduce flame spread) and insulation board (to add R-value).
